Action at the legislature is moving to the House and Senate floors where omnibus transportation funding bills will be taken up in the next few days.
Now is the time to send a strong message to your legislators about the importance of bus service and the need to not only preserve the service you need, but to expand transit service to address growing needs.
Transit budgets have been cut for three years in a row. Too many people don't have the service they need on weekends or in the evening or to the location they need to get to. Without adequate transit service, people can't get to work or medical appointments or participate in their communities.
It's time to demand better transit service rather than continued budget cuts.

Fix Transit Funding to Meet the Needs
Dear Governor,
As your constituent, I'm asking you to support an increase in transit funding this year. Without an increase in funding, many transit systems will be forced to cut back on routes or increase fares.
I rely on the bus to get to important destinations and live my life. More and more people in my community are asking for expanded transit service so they don't have to add to the congestion and they can participate in their communities, even on weekends or in the evenings.
People like myself, who live in your district, need additional bus service, and we certainly can't afford to lose any of the exsiting service we have. Please do all you can to support additional funding for transit.
