Thank you for voting yes on the Erhardt Amendment
Dear Representative,
As your constituent, I thank you for voting for the Erhardt Amendment. This is a balanced, multimodal package that will help us build the transportation system we need now and in the future. I thank you for your courage and foresight in voting for this transportation funding package. This package both stops the transit cuts and provides ongoing, stable funding to grow the transit system statewide.
There will probably be an effort to reconsider the amendment. I urge you to vote NO on reconsideration. Legislators have cast their vote and made their decision. It does not make sense to keep revoting until the challengers have the vote come out the way they want.
There will probably also be an effort to undo the package piece by piece. I urge you to vote NO on any amendment to parcel out and dismantle this package. Vote to keep the package whole and vote against dividing different groups.
