The House and Senate have both passed a strong transportation funding bill, one that provides significant new revenue for transit systems. This bill will not only take care of the short-term deficit transit systems are facing, it will provide much more stable funding long-term for transit service throughout the state.
The Governor has promised to veto this bill. Please contact him right away and let him know that we can't afford to lose this opportunity. This is the first time the legislature has passed a significant, balanced transportation funding plan in the last 17 years.

Dear Governor,
Transit systems all over Minnesota have been struggling for survival. Transit budgets have been cut and service reduced. The legislature has just handed you an opportunity to provide the stable, long-term funding we need to keep transit from limping along year to year. The transportation funding bill passed by the House and Senate (HF2461)will begin to meet the huge transportation needs we have in both highways and transit.
Please don't stand in the way of a solution to both the immediate budget crisis transit systems face and a long-term solution. I rely on bus service and we need this legislation to keep our buses running and meet the growing demand for transit service. Your name and address here
